Recently, OLIVE Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. faced a crucial moment with the certificate renewal audit for its ISO 13485 quality management system, as the original ISO 13485 certificate is set to expire on April 22, 2025. Given the certificate’s importance to the company’s export business, especially the sales of household medical products in international markets, the renewal process posed a significant challenge. The certification body, TÜV SÜD, typically takes 3 to 6 months to issue a new certificate, and in some cases, the process may even extend beyond a year.

To ensure timely renewal and avoid any negative impact on export operations, the Regulatory Affairs Department of the Product Center began intensive preparations before the Chinese New Year. They engaged in multiple discussions with TÜV SÜD and, through persistent efforts, managed to schedule the renewal audit for early February. Despite tight deadlines and heavy workloads, the company remained fully committed to the preparation process. However, just before the scheduled audit, an unexpected notice arrived—an unannounced audit would take place in two hours, with the auditor already arriving at Xinzheng Airport. This sudden development caught everyone off guard, but the company swiftly adjusted its strategy, managing both the unannounced audit and the ongoing renewal preparations simultaneously.

During the unannounced audit, the Regulatory Affairs Department led an emergency coordination effort across all departments to ensure seamless collaboration in addressing this challenge. Employees across the company worked together with a strong sense of responsibility and mission. Throughout the audit process, the auditor conducted a thorough and detailed review of the company’s quality management system, ultimately giving high praise for its implementation. After a rigorous evaluation, the company successfully passed the renewal audit and obtained the new ISO 13485 certificate in early March.
